RE5 Webinar Schedule and Study Process
The RE5 Live Webinar follows a structured three-week teaching and preparation programme, followed by 25 days of daily self-study.
All live sessions take place online from 19:00 to approximately 21:00, making the programme suitable for candidates who work during the day.
Week 1: Live RE5 Classes
Monday: Class 1
Introduction to the RE5 examination, the FAIS regulatory framework, important role-players, categories and subcategories.
Tuesday: Class 2
Representatives, fit and proper requirements, competency, supervision, appointment and debarment.
Wednesday: Class 3
FSP licensing, licence conditions, maintaining an FSP licence, undesirable practices and related responsibilities.
Thursday: Class 4
The General Code of Conduct, advice, disclosures, conflicts of interest, custody of funds, complaints and other important client-conduct requirements.
All four classes are recorded and made available through your learner dashboard for revision.
Week 2: Code of Conduct Assignment
During Week 2, students must work through the prescribed Code of Conduct Assignment.
The assignment must be submitted on or before Saturday of Week 2.
The purpose of the assignment is to help students apply the General Code of Conduct to practical scenarios and identify areas that require further revision before the Q&A session.
Students should use their following:
- 2026 RE5 and RE1 Study Guide
- Webinar recordings
- Class notes
- Slides and visual resources
- Interactive learning activities
- Support channels
The assignment forms an important part of the structured preparation process and qualifying guarantee requirements.
Week 3: Live Q&A and Daily Self-Study
Monday: Live Question-and-Answer Session
The live Q&A session gives students an opportunity to
- Ask questions about difficult concepts
- Review areas identified in the Code of Conduct Assignment
- Clarify categories and subcategories
- Work through application-based questions
- Address misunderstandings before beginning the formal self-study period
- Receive guidance on mock examinations and exam readiness
Tuesday: Daily Self-Study Begins
From Tuesday of Week 3, students begin their required 25-day daily self-study programme.
Students must study for approximately one focused hour per day for 25 consecutive days.
During this period, students should:
- Work through the study guide
- Rewatch difficult webinar sections
- Complete interactive learning activities
- Revise the important chapters
- Complete mock examinations
- Review every incorrect answer
- Correctly identified weak areas
- Practise the RE5 exam-answering method
- Ask for support whenever needed
- Complete the required readiness activities
When Will You Be Ready to Write?
You will not be ready to write immediately after attending the live classes.
Candidates who attend all sessions, complete the Code of Conduct Assignment, follow the full 25-day self-study programme and meet the required readiness standards should generally be ready to write the RE5 examination approximately 34 days after the first webinar class.
This timeframe is a guideline and depends on the student following the complete course process.
Your recommended preparation journey is:
- Attend Classes 1 to 4 during Week 1.
- Complete and submit the Code of Conduct Assignment during Week 2.
- Attend the live Q&A session on Monday of Week 3.
- Begin 25 consecutive days of one-hour daily self-study on Tuesday.
- Complete mock examinations and review weak areas.
- Complete the required readiness process.
- Book the Moonstone RE5 examination only once your preparation results show that you are ready.
Finishing the classes does not automatically mean that you are exam-ready. The live webinar builds understanding, while the following 25 days of structured study, practice and revision help turn that understanding into examination readiness.
Expected exam-readiness point: approximately 34 days from the first live class, provided that the full course process has been followed.
