RE1 vs RE5: which exam is right for you?
The exam you need depends on your actual responsibilities and the applicable requirements, not simply your job title. And because 1 is before 5, it doesn’t mean you first have to write RE1 and then RE5. If you don’t know the difference and you’re not yet in the industry, you are most likely someone who needs to write the RE5 exam.

RE5 is generally relevant to representatives providing advice or intermediary services on behalf of an FSP, subject to regulatory exemptions. Â
KEY INDIVIDUALS
I think I need RE1
RE1 generally focuses on FSP management and oversight responsibilities. It also applies to certain other regulated roles, like Compliance Officers.
